Many people find that they put on weight and don’t know why. They tend to eat the same type of food they always have, in the same of quantities and even follow the same exercise regime which has always worked for them, yet they find themselves with a weight problem – often for the first time in their lives.

They often feel marginalised and isolated because nobody believes them. It seems that nobody takes them seriously – no wonder they give up if the health professionals don’t take them seriously.

There is always a solution to weight problems if only you will not give up! Do not allow others make you feel as if you need to give up. Even more important do not acquiesce to your own negative mind that you should just give up and be happy and fat. No way – it is not healthy. I mean you do not have to be skinny – that’s not a good look, indeed you do not have to be slim, or even an ideal weight, but you need to get down to a weight where you feel well physically and feel good about yourself mentally.

There is often a medical reason why you cannot lose weight and I have found this to be true in hundreds of patients who have looked for help and become frustrated.

It is true that genetics (family history), exercise, your body type and the ageing process may be working against you, but there are many other factors that we can easily change.

If you are overweight and find it very difficult to lose the excess weight it is important to look at ALL the factors relevant to your present weight and state of health.

You may need help with the following fixable problems –

Fatty liver, Syndrome X, Sluggish metabolism, Oestrogen dominance, Low progesterone, Hormonal imbalances, Body toxicity, Fluid retention, Gluten Intolerance and Thyroid resistance. These are all discussed in my book titled Can’t Lose Weight? You must have Syndrome X

Syndrome X is caused by Insulin Resistance and is a metabolic imbalance which causes you to store fat and not burn fat. High insulin levels cause this and we need to get them down – this is easier than you think! You will need specific foods and supplements to improve liver function and metabolism. Some exercise is a great help to get insulin levels down but you do not have to be a gym junkie or triathlete and only 20 minutes a day can make a big difference.

Cabot Health Synd X Slimming Protein Powder can help you a lot as it is extremely low carb and extremely high protein and contains chromium, taurine, glutamine and stevia – it tastes great with dairy or coconut milk, passionfruit and berries.
